Galanthus elwesii 'Blue Octopus' (in-the-green)
£60.00
Large well-shaped flowers on a sturdy plant are produced in November and in quality, stand comparison with all such G. elwesii var. monostictus cultivars. The second remarkable feature of this plant which suggested it chosen name is the foliage which by the main flowering season for snowdrops elongates dramatically to about 45 cm on mature specimens, spreading Octopus-like on the soil surface. A splendid selection, originally by David Culp. Thank you to Ruben Billiet for lending the image used here.
