Galanthus nivalis 'Olot' (in-the-green)
This remarkable inverse poculiform G. nivalis vies only with the Alan Street introduction, ‘Trympostor’ (a G.x valentinei) as the most rapidly increasing snowdrop I have ever grown. The bulbs offered are not the result of chipping, but from the natural increase from a single bulb received from Dima Zubov, the well-known authority on all things bulbaceous from Ukraine (royalty to originator). Densely-flowered clumps are also of note for the large quantity of seed they produce ( I have yet to see any flower). Lift and split regularly and soon you’ll have a rug!.
