Although it was not realised at the time, chronologically the first inverse poculiform G. x hybridus (plicatus x elwesii crosses in either direction) was 'Trumps' and so when 'Trumpolute' occurred in John Morley's garden in about 2001, this was significant. An excellent example of its type with gracefully recurved outer segments marked with a large heart shape that repeats on the inner segments. Very choice.
